Michael Schuster: Sweet, cassissy nose; medium full, moderately tannic; sweetly ripe, fresh and with good length; complete and stylish. 15.5

Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: A stunning success, and plainly the most memorable wine from this estate for 10 or 20 years. Fabulously open. Classy nose, lavishly generous body, velvety texture and impressive follow-through on the palate, withatouch of sunshine about it, like the Pavie, with perhaps a more immediately noticeable finesse. 18
