Stephen Brook: Muted cherry nose. Juicy, full-bodied, and very oaky. At this stage lacks some Pinot typicity. Grainy tannins and moderate acidity. Solid rather than beguiling. Quite long. 17

Michael Schuster: Deep purple; dense but relatively closed fruit against a pronounced minerally background; very nicely balanced, rich middleweight with a fine tannin and fresh acidity. Ripe red- and black-cherry fruit, long and fine and minerally in the mouth. Firm still, but not coarse, and with fine, vivid, fruit persistence. A delicious combination of concentrated, fresh ripe fruit allied to grand cru refinement and complexity. Needs 10 years minimum. From 2018. 18
