Anthony Rose: (disgorged 1997) Yellow golden in color; the intensely toasty, nutty aromas are followed on the palate by an amazing concentration of wonderfully rich, intense, full peach and apple fruit, with a fine, lively mousse and excellent vinosity shot through with a super-fresh blade of linear acidity. This seems to me to be as close to perfect as Vintage Champagne gets.
