Michael Schuster:Deepish purple-red; dense to smell, a rich middleweight, fresh in acidity, firm but very fine in tannin; fleshy behind the lightly firm, lightly oak-marked texture; sweet, juicy, pure, long, and gently racy in flavor, lightly spicy, full of a gentle grand cru energy across the palate; a distinct sweetness and richness of flavor here, by comparison with the Echézeaux, and with a very persistent perfume on the aftertaste. A lovely Grands Echézeaux, generous, fleshy, ample, mouthcoating, long, and sweetly fragrant to finish. Very nice indeed. 2024–34.
