Jasper Morris: Tawny to brown color from the bottom of the bottle. But the fruit is still fresh, and there is a sense of grace. Good persistence. Still something to enjoy but no longer a perfect experience. 1976 Domaine Clair-Daü (Magnum) Bright brick-red to amber, with the leatheriness of a tannic summer, and possibly a not quite perfect cork. The fruit in the mouth has a bit of blood orange, but the sweet grace of the vineyard is lurking. The color was deeper and the wine fresher from a bottle (not magnum)—a better cork.
