Michael Schuster: Mid-purple; dense, lightly oaky, ripe, but also very faintly peppery (cusp of ripeness?) Pinot; fullish, firm, and finely tannic; minerally and muscly at once (as one might expect), but without the fruit density behind the structure to really give one confidence in the future; that said, the wine is pure and long in the mouth. Difficult to really see at the moment. 17?
