BUY THE WINE

Michael Schuster: Picked in October and therefore very ripe; a pleasingly rich, mineral-backed middleweight, but difficult to know what to make of this, especially for the future, because there is not the backbone to give it the sort of longevity one expects, and wants, from this appellation, so that it can develop those most desirable secondary characteristics. Relatively supple and moderately minerally, but without the real nerve and stone I want from this wine. Tenacity and density of flavor are there, and it is clearly very fine, but… Should be approachable unusually early for its origin. From 2014. 17?
