Nicolas Belfrage: Unusually deep, dark color. Some of that Brunello funkiness coming through, but accompanied by something extraneous. Palate more classic, intense sour cherry fruit and firm but ripe tannins. Not convinced it’s entirely kosher but it is a very good wine, with very good length. 16.5

Roy Richards Oxidative. A dull, little wine, already dry. 9

Franco Ziliani: Dense color, ruby violet but not inky. The bouquet is complex, deep, with ripe black cherries and dried flowers notes. Rich on the palate, but not perfectly balanced, with tannins on the finish slightly bitter and dry. 14.5
