BUY THE WINE

Nicolas Belfrage: Quite deep color with just a hint of brick on rim. Some suspect wood on nose. Surprizingly flabby in mouth, has acidity and tannin but seems to lack intensity of fruit. Short. Pleasant enough but insubstantial. Now for five years. 11

Roy Richards Unusual, peachy nose. This is a soft, forward wine with a strong tannic backdrop. Perfectly acceptable, but lacks a little flair. 14

Franco Ziliani: Dark, ruby violet color. The nose is bitter, dominated by oaky, chocolate and spicy notes – no elegance at all. The palate is slightly better, but this a one-dimensional wine, almost tired, with bitter and astringent fruit and no elegance. No reasons to drink a wine like this. 12
