Alison Buchanan: Rather confected nose – something of a familiar note for me – allied to some stalkiness. Here the structure has not (yet?) done well with bottle age but it all seems slightly out at sea. Confected certainly, this is mineral too but it does not all quite hang together – slight cardboard character. 14.5

Alex Hunt: The color is still green, but the nose shows a lot of nutty development. Full, round, and beautifully textured, the flavors nonetheless have seen better days, and oak is now too dominant. 14

Andrew Jefford: Mid lemon–yellow; no great depth of color. Touch of oxidization, here, giving lots of rustic floral notes. Some would enjoy this heavy hawthorne; others would find it oppressive. Intensely acidic but also very herbal, too; the effect is like a kind of monkish elixir. An original and entertaining drink, but not a classic white wine. 12
