Jasper Morris: Bright mid-red with a slightly tawny rim. Mature fruit on the nose, but attractive, and it shows the easygoing nature of the vintage. Lovely sweet fruit behind—would be very happy to drink this—raspberry notes, faint astringency but basically delicious. Astringency fades as the fruit grows—bravo! Lovely wine for the vintage and so persistent. On retasting, it has become a bit more mature, with honeyed raspberries, but you still want to gulp it down.
