BUY THE WINE

Alison Buchanan: Very steely, rapier style. Totally focused, it hits the bull’s eye first hit. Rather electric on the nose, this is reflected on the palate, steely, flinty, mineral and extraordinarily vivacious. That said, there is richness here too, in spades. Beautifully balanced, this has been made with a light hand on the tiller to produce a poised, focused wine of piercing intensity. 17

Alex Hunt: Still showing pronounced aromas of raw gooseberries and leaves. While pleasingly youthful and vigorous, this is a little too green and hard for its own good. 12

Andrew Jefford: Pale gold. Slightly pongy, bottle–stinky aromas, clearing to give a plain green–fruited aromatic profile. Intense, deep and thrusting, though rather coarse fruit characters mean that the wine lacks finesse. Concentrated but rather brutal. 11
