Essi Avellan: Pale lemon color. Sweetly fruity, fresh, and mild nose, with green apple, lemon, and ripe peach notes. A little confected. Perky palate, with an energetic mousse and crisp acidity. Softly textured and round, with appealing but simple fruitiness persisting until the medium-long finish. 90
Simon Field: Pale straw, and the bubbles dissipate quickly; there is not much that shines here; the vinous, workmanlike intimations are more than matched by the palate, which is lean and unforthcoming; citrous elements, a metallic mid-palate, and a somewhat lackluster finish. The red-fruit personality is, unfortunately, a little compromised. 87
Anthony Rose: Pale gold in color, this is a tad shy in aroma but nonetheless with some intriguing notes of sweet spices and berry; there’s a nicely balanced mousse of bubbles and some phenolic grip adding a textural tanginess to the fruit, which retains texture for a decent length of time and finishes attractively dry. 89
