Andrew Jefford: Pale gold in color. Attractive but rather soft-focus aromas of fresh leaf and spring flowers. Deep, long, limpid palate, with an impressive lime-cucumber resonance to it; this slowly amplifies in the mouth, turning more pebbly as it does so. The longer you spend with this wine, the more you realize that everything about it is high in quality; all that it misses is the crunchy freshness of the youthful charmer, but it more than makes up in its central- and back-palate generosity. Perfect wine for fine dining—and very much a Central Loire wine rather than a varietal Sauvignon17
Andreas Larsson: The nose is fresh and pure, displaying quite ripe fruit with notes of fresh pineapple and passion fruit. Good substance on the palate, fine combination of ripe fruit and a zesty acidity—mouthwatering with a mineral notion on the finish; good persistence15.5
Stephan Reinhardt: Brilliant color, very bright, greenish shades. Very nice nose; leafy, fresh, and discreet—very much Sauvignon Blanc: spicy, thick skins, limes and lemons, fresh milled pepper. Develops a nice intensity with air contact, keeps focused. Very elegant and round on the palate, full-bodied, aromatic, ending with a delicious acidity and minerality, which both structure the wine. This is the most complete and best-balanced wine so far: aromatic and sappy, without missing strength and structure. Serious wine. Still young. A real classic with flint-stone aromas in the finish. Enjoy! 17
