Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: Superb purity and aromatic intensity. The palate is majestically structured, with considerable substance for such a linear wine en primeur. Well-defined, ultra-classy tannins—very successful all round. 18
Michael Schuster: Black red; dense, faintly herbal-edged, mineral and ripe blackcurrant nose; very nice, easy balance, full for Domaine de Chevalier, fresh and finely tannic; effortless, opulent, ripe fruit flavor with a subtle aromatic complexity; long in the mouth, rich, refined, and graceful, and with fine, minerally persistence. Most successful, medium- to long-term Chevalier. 2016–30. 16.5/17
