Alex Hunt: Far too much aldehyde and volatile acidity here; this has not been adequately protected from oxygen. Ripe, modern-style fruit sits slightly awkwardly with the high acidity of the grape, and the finish is clumsily oxidative and short- 10

Andrew Jefford: Dark black-purple. Warm, fresh fruits, both red and black, and a savory-sweet cast: complex. Deep, intense, exotic, full of nutmegclove spice to lend intrigue to the raspberry fruit. Satisfying textures and layers here, and a brisk freshness overall. Very complete. My only hesitation about this wine is that the acidity has a slightly raw note, though there is nothing green about the fruit spectrum. Very good, and just a whisper away from outstanding- 16

Simon Larkin: Holds color well to rim. The nose suggests spicy, dark berry fruit, with a blackcurrantleaf accent. The palate is taut, lively, vibrant— quite leafy, herbaceous even. There is a really youthful sappy accent here and a rasping youthful acidity. Ungainly, correct, but little more- 10.5
