Stephen Brook: Subdued nose. Medium-bodied, only moderately rich, but that’s probably a good thing, since the wine shows some freshness and poise. There’s a touch of sweetness, but it doesn’t dominate, and the wine overall shows a light touch and some vigor. No evident alcohol, and the finish shows charm and balance. 16.5
Alison Buchanan: Golden in color, this dances delicately on the nose—no sledgehammer Gewurz here, with a tiny pinprick of focus that attracts the taster. The palate does not quite hold on to the guiding focal point. Slightly anemic, it does hold some sense of direction ultimately but is initially very diffuse. Honeyed fruit and nuts dominate, luscious and ripe, with hints of spice. Very sweet for a marriage with anything other than nuts and cheese; rich and long on the finish. 16.5
Anthony Rose: Pale in color; there’s some youthful boudoir-scented rose-petal scent on the nose here and rather sweetish, alcoholic, medium-sweet fruit on the palate; a wine of which you could perhaps enjoy one or two sips, but not a lot more15
