Michael Schuster: Intense, blackcurrant-sweet and mineral to smell; rich and concentrated, with the year’s lively acidity and a Pauillac firm tannin; sweet, vital, tasty, with a nice length of flavor, and a marked gravelly minerality behind the very ripe fruit; a much greater finesse than in the past, with very nice aromatic length. A great success, its potential becoming clearer by the year. 2016–36. 90–92
Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: Colorful and with a greatly generous fruit and texture. The length is not quite at the level of the texture, but the progress made here is considerable and allows one to imagine in the years to come a wine that will rival the appellation’s greatest fifth growths. 95–96
