Ella Lister: Lighter red with an orangey rim. The nose is all sweet caramel/vanilla seduction, with behind this a layer of ripe, sensual red fruit and some orange-fruit character, too. In the mouth, it is a very suave, smooth customer, with some more vanilla character and wood tannins. The wine has good presence and a nice midweight. Importantly, it also has oodles of bright, energetic fruit.
