BUY THE WINE

Margaret Rand: There weren’t many aszú grapes this year, but they were very good and extremely shriveled. The flavors are of coffee and preserved lemons; the wine is linear and intense. It seems to gain weight in the middle as you taste it (a familiar feeling to many of us, alas), and it feels like the wine of a hot year, even though it still has plenty of freshness.
