Margaret Rand: A classic vintage with lots of concentration: the aszú grapes were macerated in fermenting must to keep the clear flavors. A very precise wine, with plentiful acidity to lift the coffee and toffee fruit. Notes of tea, smoke, and roasted apricots plus citrus peel. Very sparky and alive: a dense structure giving off fireworks.
