Tom Stevenson: This had the deepest color of all the Cristal magnums, deeper even than the 89, possibly because there was as much as 40 percent malolactic fermentation. Very rich, very winey, and very enjoyable, but it does not have the classic Cristal tapering structure and, thus, lacks its signature finesse. (disgorged September 4, 2002; 12g/l dosage)
