Stephen Brook: Opaque red. Dumb nose, some cooked tones, coffee. Rich but flat, succulent but flabby. Hefty tannins and some weight of fruit don’t make up for the startling lack of acidity. Still shows some of the sexiness of this cru, but desperately short and blunt. 13
Michael Schuster: Dark red; dense nose, a bit stewed; medium full, drily tannic, noticeably lacking in acidity; ripe and simple, and needing early drinking, finishes short and rather hollow. Disappointing for the property. 14
