Stephen Browett: A fairly deep color for this flight. Quite intense on the nose and much more promising than others in this line-up. A good attack of chewy black fruits and a touch of tannin. Could be kept for a year or two and certainly better than the average here. The fairly easy winner of our 11-wine first Pomerol flight. 15.5
Michael Schuster: Dark red, narrow rim; very ripe fruit on the nose, but sweet and fresh; pleasing, ripe, caramelly, Merlot fruit, very marked by new oak tannin. Finishes rather astringent, and seems to me unlikely ever to harmonize fully. 14?
