Stephen Brook: The nose is not entirely clean; slight musty, cardboardy tone, but no second bottle so not possible to say if this is atypical (I suspect so). Medium-bodied, fine texture, not hugely concentrated, moderate acidity. Cleaner than the nose, with some freshness. Solid rather than exciting, lacks flair, and it does lack persistence. 15

Michael Schuster: Deep gold; faintly waxy, but still fairly closed; nicely balanced, rich middleweight with adequate, rather than lively, acidity; intensely sweet, soft, round, juicily fruity flavor, moderate complexity and medium length. Another deliciously sweet wine, but one for drinking fairly early, where the level of sugar is very attractive, but a slight want of acidity is not going to make for long-term maturation. 15
