Very rich, deep color. The wine’s intense concentration is a result of growing season temperatures 3.6o F (2oC) above average andsunshine through harvest. Big and flavory, with a cedary bouquet and a core of tobacco-tinged fruit, this has integrated tannins and plenty of years left. It’s touted as one of the great years, but I found 2001 equally convincing. | 92
