More balanced than many Bordeaux from this vintage of extreme temperatures—10 days of 108o F (42oC) in August meant Haut-Bailly’s harvest started on September 3! Grapes were so tiny they couldn’t be properly measured. My key impression: a nose of ripe, ripe fruit, deep, plummy flavors, and a soft texture. | 89
