A cool, challenging summer produced a lighter style Haut-Bailly with crunchy fruit and gentle tannins. A higher proportion than usual of Cabernet Sauvignon gives it some oomph. It’s not powerful or intense but satisfying, and more complex than most Bordeaux from the year. Perfect luncheon claret. | 88
