A “wow” wine. This stood out as the best of the 20 vintages. To Sanders, it’s a landmark. I agree. It dazzles with more power, structure, intensity, and potential than the 2009, and is packed with deep layers of gorgeous fruit. Freshness and energy lift it up and up. The concentration and complexity suggest it will be one for the ages. The year was hot and sunny, with cool nights; the grapes exceptionally small. | 99
