A roller-coaster year! The spring was the hottest and driest in 50 years. The summer was cool and wet and September saw a perfectly ripe harvest. This wine reminds me a bit of the 2007; it’s ready to drink right now, and shows how consistent Haut-Bailly is in off-vintages. Stylish and classic, it’s also pretty and precise, with savory, juicy blackberry notes and the right amount of tannin for the size of the wine. | 90
