Deeply colored, lush and opulent. Intense aromas of red currants. Layers of perfectly ripe, smoky, dark fruit unroll on the tongue. Remarkably soft-textured and fleshy but also long. No wonder Sanders dubs this wine “plenitude.” This is the first vintage in which Petit Verdot makes it into the blend. This vintage seemed yet another step up in fineness. With ideal weather from beginning to harvest, there was consistency in every plot. | 92
