James Lawther: A gentle, elegant offering with purity of fruit and fine texture. Less power and concentration than the 2000 but harmonious and, despite the easy allure, a solid tannic base behind. Garnet hue. Dark, brambly fruit, with a hint of toasted oak. Supple texture then lovely freshness and length on the finish. Firm but fine tannins. Drink to 2028. 18
