Michael Schuster: Dark red, rim just starting to brick; on the nose marked limestone minerality, subtle new oak, sweet and scented with a glassfilling perfume, wonderful bouquet in prospect; concentrated middleweight, with a firm acidity and firm but fine tannin; vivid ripe red fruit flavour infused with clear limestone aromas; long, firm, linear flavour with a mouthcoating scent, subtle, complex, racy and refined and with excellent length. Typically delicate, porcelain fine, and still youthfully marked in both aroma and tannin texture by its new oak. Unyielding as yet, but should make a very fine mature Ausone. 2016-45+
