Michael Schuster: Fine and perfumed, this smells exquisite, a subtle black fruit and mineral; perfectly balanced, supple, subtle, fresh, and particularly finely tannic; sweet, fresh, pure, complex, and racy to taste, a ripe black fruit of great delicacy with subtle underlying mineral aromas, and exceptional length across the palate. This has the best of 2016’s particularly fine, soft, caressing tannins, and great, gentle, perfumed length. Not a particularly “big” wine, but one of marked race and refinement and breed. A great Haut-Bailly. 2026–40+. 93–95
