Michael Schuster: Red- and black-fruit ripe, restrained and subtly mineral; beautifully balanced, rich, concentrated, fresh, and finely tannic; sweet, graceful, ample, long and flowing, polished, subtle and very complex; a wine of great length of flavor, combining considerable matter and great freshness; grand without being particularly large, mouth-coatingly aromatic, full of grace and with splendid, sweet-cored persistence. Just a hint of alcoholic warmth, but otherwise the classic refined, delicate, absolutely harmonious Haut- Brion. Lovely wine. 2030–50+. 96–98
