Michael Schuster: Youthful, intense, briskly ripe red and blackcurrant fruit and new-wood vanilla to smell; intense, concentrated, vital, elegant, and firmly tannic; a sweet core of red and blackcurrant fruit, long and linear and fine to taste, gently warm, a touch new-wood dry, but restrained, graceful, elegant, and fine, very Graves proportions; complex to taste, long to finish, with a particularly attractive fruit persistence. 2025–40+. 92–93
Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: Half Cabernet, half Merlot, just like its neighbors in Pessac, and a marvelous texture enabling an expression of the terroir, more specifically precocious smoky notes dues to the Merlot on this terroir. Great wine, with better harmony than the 2015 at its birth. 97–98
