BUY THE WINE

Michael Schuster: Dense and lightly oaky to smell, with a gentle black-cherry fruit; full, rich, elegantly balanced wine, fresh and with a particularly fine tannin texture; freshly sweet, markedly aromatic, minerally behind the ripe black fruit, intense in flavor yet effortless across the palate, very long to taste, gently mouth-coating, full of grace despite its richness, a touch of warmth on the final palate, and with excellent aromatic length. A fine partner to its splendid 2015. 2026–40+. 93–95

Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: The cru’s usual unctuousness is there, just as much as the impressive velvet of the tannins, but there is also a lot of energy and tension in this wine. 97–98
