Michael Schuster: That floral/herbal Merlot character on the nose; moderately rich, medium-full wine, very fine-textured, fresh in acidity; sweetly ripe, subtly mineral-backed, long, complex, graceful, and gently racy, a really beautiful St-Emilion. Not quite the density or opulence of the splendid 2015, which is more generous and immediately seductive, but close in quality, if different in style.
