BUY THE WINE

Michael Schuster: Lovely aromatic and complex nose with that hint of wild rose and violets; a rich, flattering constitution, fat, fresh, and particularly fine in tannin; freshly sweet, a juicy blackberry and cassis flavor, gentle in tannin, long and complex to develop, easy, effortless, fleshy; wonderfully accessible and flattering Margaux, with that sweet core of fruit persisting on the finish, too. Not big, not tannic, not super-ripe, but absolutely complete. Lovely. 2027–40. 93–94

Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: Good body but the tannins are a bit less rounded off than in 2015 at the same (and equally premature) time of tasting. 95–96
