Michael Schuster: Lovely nose, gently gravelly St-Julien; medium-full, fresh to crisp in acid, fine in tannin, a very graceful balance; ripe, sweet, subtly mineral, gently racy, and long across the palate for a second wine; supple, delicious, long to finish. Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: Remarkable notes of cedar, but the grand vin overshadows this wine. If the prices do not skyrocket, however, this should be an unmissable wine. 95–96
