Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: Tasted at the château. An excellent St-Julien of impeccable style and, like Clos du Marquis, more the product of a distinct terroir within the property than of declassified vats. The greater definition lent by the vines of Terrey-Gros-Cailloux is obvious, and places this on the same level as the grand vin of many a cru classé. 16
