BUY THE WINE

Michael Schuster: Very dense to smell, Cabernet-blackcurrant and Médoc-mineral; full, firm, vital, finely structured; ripe, mineral-infused black-fruit flavor, with fine, mouth-coating tannins, and the brisk acidity of many of the year; sweet and dense at once, sinewy yet elegant, and with fine, harmonious, mineral-fragrant length. A firmer expression of the year than many, but a fine, complete, long-term Lagrange. 2026–40+. 91–92

Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: Powerful, very seriously built, but still a bit tense and reductive on the samples that we tasted. 95–96
