Michael Schuster: Super-ripe fruit, faintly raisiny; very full, very fresh, very firm, a long-term constitution; sweet in flavor, transparent and fine within the dry, new-wood marked, tannin frame, but with a very attractive ripeness of fruit, pure, complex, gently aromatic, long to taste, and with excellent, crisp, fruit-dominated length. A fine Pavie-Decesse. This will never be an easy “drink,” but it is certainly good wine in its style; though less finely judged than the Pavie itself this vintage. 2026–36+. 90–92
Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: Pure, frank, long, and a fine chalkiness. Great class. 96
