Andrew Jefford: Dark black-red. Some dark, restrained plummy fruits with a sappy, watercress-like note. Lifted and fresh, and enticing for those who relish lifted and fresh. On the palate, this is pure St- Estèphe severity in this vintage, with ample acidity and tannin prominent among the structuring elements, but there is a density here that eludes many of its peers. Now to 2021. 87
Michael Schuster: Ripe red-fruit and mineral nose; concentrated middleweight, brisk in acidity, firm in fine tannin; plenty of flavor here, within the fairly austere structure; long to taste, the fruit is there, and quite long to finish. That said, this remains relatively hard work, and will need plenty of time... but with what as a reward? 2025–35+. 89
