Andrew Jefford: Dark black-red. Warm, rounded, soft, gentle, with some pencil and liquorice complexities already. A fair effort, but the quality of the terroir means that it rather struggles to compete against the classed growth peers with which we are comparing it in this Pauillac flight; it doesn’t quite have their density and concentration. Almost chunky and full, though, in style, which is impressive in 2013. Now to 2021 86

Michael Schuster: Closed, but cedary to smell; medium-full, fresh, finely but firmly tannic, a very nice overall balance on the firmer side of the year; ripe and savory, with a nice length of flavor, Pauillac sinew, and good length. Solid, tasty Pauillac. Best with a few more years in bottle. 2023-30+ 88
