Andrew Jefford: Deep, dark red-black in color. Rather a grassy, privet-hedge aroma though it does have wealth and amplitude within this style, and there is some sweetness to the aromatic blackcurrant character. Soft, accessible, and gently phrased; modestly tannic; a long, sustained finish. A wellcrafted effort for short to medium-term drinking. 2018–22. 88
Michael Schuster: Light blackcurrant and oak-cedar nose; elegant balance, medium-full, fresh, fine-textured; sweet-fruited, gently aromatic, long to taste, long to finish. Fine St-Julien, surprisingly firm, even in the vintage, and relatively long-term for sure, but good and complete, without being in any way grand. 2025–35+. 91
