Andrew Jefford: Deep black-red. A beefy effort: veal stock and beef tea, over vague but warm, sweet fruits. Attractive in its own way. Round, vivid, deep, and ripe. Very impressive ripeness and good supporting depth and structure. A well-built, almost muscular wine for Margaux in this vintage, but I like it and I can imagine it providing rewarding mid-term drinking, perhaps at an attractive price. Now to 2021. 88
Michael Schuster: Oak-cedary nose to smell; supple, mediumfull wine with a very light, fine tannin; sweet, graceful Margaux flavor, not a lot of depth, but the class is clear; this has length and fragrance, and is a very appealing, refined Margaux in a lighter vein. Now to 2028. 91
