Andrew Jefford: Deep clear black-red. Sweet and rather sickly nose, with a slightly odd medicinal note (the two may be related). Neither fresh nor enticing. A little better on the palate than the nose suggested, with concentrated and not overly sweet fruit, some supporting tannin, and poised ripeness. The score would be higher with finer aromas. Now to 2019. 84
Michael Schuster: Oak vanilla clear on the nose; medium-full, supple for the vintage, light in tannin, a very pleasing 2013 balance; sweet, juicy, gently fleshy Margaux, ripe fruited, some length of flavor, and of aftertaste. Very nice, harmonious, lighter year Margaux, no excess structure, which should give a lot of easy, appealing Margaux pleasure over the next 6 to 8 years. A very nice interpretation of the year. Now to 2025. 89
