Andrew Jefford: Mid-depth of black-red. A touch oaky; fresh, bright fruits beneath, you can smell the light vintage here. After some time in the glass it finds some polish and incense-like finesse. More concentrated than many of its peers on the palate, but not as classical as some, with a rather sinewy finish. Not exactly a crowd-pleaser, though it is sustained and deep; indeed the weight of fruit flesh just eclipses Palmer (though that wine has more aromatic refinement). 2019–24. 89
Michael Schuster: Lightly oak-cedary nose; full for the year, fresh to crisp in acidity, lightly firm in tannin; red-fruit ripe, gently chewy, a bit of “matter” for the year, a bit of “structure,” too, as well as length of flavor; tasty, if lacking a little finesse for the appellation. 2020–28. 90
