Andrew Jefford: Dark black-red, though not opaque. Fine Cologne spice scents with a sweetness and a resonance unusual in Pessac-Léognan this year; genuine aromatic complexity this year. Welljudged, supportive oak, and no sense of greenness. An excellent aromatic profile. On the palate, it’s definitely tenor/soprano: light and even aerial, and the fruit has little resonance when compared with great vintages. But there is concentration, poise, craft, allusion, and subtlety, and the ripest raw materials are here, so it's a good wine for the vintage. 2018–24. 88
Michael Schuster: Dense, complex, ripe-fruit and oak-cedar nose; rich, generous, fleshy wine with a fresh acidity, and fine-grained tannin; sweet in flavor, complex, aromatic, long to taste, still youthful in tannin texture, but complete, juicy, fine, and long. Most attractive in a few years. 2022–32. 91
